Review on 🎧 Yideng BT-S2 Bluetooth Motorcycle Helmet Intercom - 1000m Range, Walkie-Talkie Headphone, Waterproof Wireless Communication System for up to 3 Riders (2 Pack) by Andre Motko

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Easy install, bit fiddly when first connecting but pretty smooth since then - update 3/19

update. My wife's microphone/headset cable became unsecured and became disconnected intermittently while driving. An email from Yideng describing the problem along with a few emails back and forth and a replacement in the mail a few days later. The speakers could be a little louder for freeway driving, except traffic noise can be difficult to hear, so volume is likely good and customer service is exceptional. After 6 months of use, I upgraded my rating to 5 stars. - Initial Review - I've only had this set for a week and have only used it twice (about 90 minutes each time) so can't comment on battery longevity. However, the installation of the intercom, microphone and speakers went smoothly. On my helmet (Bilt - Force Ten), the speakers fit into a recess in the helmet shell that appears to have been custom made for them. My wife's helmet (Snell is a scorpion) had less accurate ear cups, but the speakers still fitted without the use of adhesive strips. Everything is neatly tucked away behind the padding with just a few snaps and Velcro that can be removed and reattached. The clip on the intercom didn't look like it would fit between the shell and the underside of the helmet padding, but with a little effort it snapped in place and locked in place intact. The Bluetooth intercom paired with my Android without any problems, but we had to go through this process a few times before successfully pairing the two intercoms the first time. The range seems good. Line of sight appears to be around half a mile, but it drops off in corners when there are obstacles, along with adequate spacing. It's very quiet with no noticeable feedback, so I'm sometimes tempted to strike up a conversation to see if they're working. However, I've noticed that I can tell if I'm way ahead because at a distance but before we lose intercom comms there is a bit of static feedback but only at the outer limits of range. When we lose the connection, there is a periodic beep, pressing the button and waiting for a few seconds quite consistently reconnects on the first try. Acceleration. We have limited experience with this set and have not yet used Bluetooth while driving and have had no reason to try out the phone's features but so far and for the price they appear to be good value.
