hard rock! the best pillows, inserts and covers

I'm actually used to hard pillows (my favorite use is the innovation for sleep, a heavy curved neck pillow before they changed its quality), but this one U sleeping pillow is damn hard, it's like sleeping on an inflated ball full of rocks. My shoulders are creaking today from that pillow pressing so hard on them while sleeping. My neck is so damn stiff, I've woken up a few times because this pillow is so hard it's pressing hard on the side of my neck and causing pain. I had the worst sleep record since the day I got my fitness tracker, it was that bad, I woke up so many times I didn't sleep for 1 hour 46 minutes at night! I don't know if the odd shape of the neck contour is the reason for so much pressure on my neck, I have a feeling that's part of the reason because it's odd how the wings don't spread and stay that way. it expands when you flatten it and then springs back and closes to a smaller size then shows in the listing image. I think that's what puts pressure on the side of the neck because it's shrinking in. which also causes the wings to be compressed at the top of the shoulder as well. The whole ear only works if YOUR head fits/fits properly in that pillow size. I am a small 5'4" woman and my ear doesn't go all the way to the hole, my ear is at the outer edge of the ear socket. I have found this pillow to be ideal for those with one due to its firmness/hardness, bulk size and ear coverage medium sized frames and above that sleep on their side I think given how full this pillow is it will take a while before it flattens etc and it is so full it's doubtful itself the filling will move and gather in places nice touch but not for those of us with smaller/lighter heads it's a bit too firm and springy feeling for me so it actually reminded me of a latex pillow Pillowcase: I have Bought a pillowcase and I love the softness of the pillowcase and I decided to keep it and force myself to sleep as a pillow filled with a regular soft alternative pillow that I don't use e. When I was done, it looked like a not-cool version of those U-sleeping pillows, and it's much softer on my head while still providing some neck support that this U-sleeping pillow would provide if it weren't so hard/stiff. If the firmness of this pillow doesn't suit you, but you still like the shape, buy a $9.99 pillowcase and make your own.

Pros
  • Solid construction
Cons
  • Not quite as good as it says
