The recording surface does not stand up to it.

After a long test, here are some field reports: Advantages: + The carpet is magnetic and does not lose its strength. Cons: - The writing surface just doesn't stick. The erasable marker penetrates and saturates the top layer. The glossy top coat comes off when you try to erase the erasable marker. This leads to the first problem (above) - After a while, the edges of the top surface (white mesh) start to separate from the magnetic layer.
