I've only used them twice so can't comment on durability. In terms of functionality, these things work surprisingly well. I was a bit skeptical about trying something that doesn't have a strap that goes under the shoe. It's the right shape to sit flat on your shoe and prevent things you walk through from getting into your socks and shoes and pushing you out. I walk in a grassy/weedy field and they don't miss anything. I put on my hiking boots, fold my jeans around my leg and pull them on. I will no longer have to carefully clean seeds and stickers from my pant cuffs before entering the house, and I will no longer stuff things into my socks and shoes to torment myself until I have finished my walk. I recommend them for their functionality and simplicity.
