Our previous dryer lasted about 15 years before the bearings failed. We have a wall mounted dryer holder that requires a narrower 2" barrel rather than the short and thick nozzles that are currently popular. I chose the ConAir Pro Blackbird mainly because it fits in our holder. 3 months then the high speed setting was disabled and we had a speed with a hot or cold air dryer Less than a year from the date of purchase the power switch is now stuck in the on position requiring the unit to be unplugged. to turn it off. Now it ends up in the trash can. I expected much better service from a "professional" hair dryer. Primarily, a person uses this dryer once a day; that's hardly a difficult load for a hair dryer. It should also be noted that this machine does not have compliance marks from safety agencies such as UL or CSA which may have performance criteria for operator switches.
