I picked these out for my 3-yr-old son, not really thinking about how much he drops things or that they might come apart easily. I did get approval from his mom before getting them, though. She reported that he really enjoyed messing them up, and of course has no idea how to solve them at this point. She became concerned about the "small parts as choking hazards" possibility when he dropped one of them a few times, and she had to try to put it back together. My son has been taught not to put things in his mouth, so he's fine; but if anyone has a tot that isn't that smart or compliant and wants to eat colorful plastic things, this would be a terrible idea. Beyond this concern, though, she said the puzzles were well-built, and that they ought to last a while for him. This one batch of puzzles included some that I never had, so once again, my son is a lucky boy! ;D
