Really like this collar and have bought several. I tried a plastic cone from the vet - neither she nor I could put it on. I tried to inflate a donut that was supposed to be attached to an ordinary collar or gauze tie - it almost choked! I can't say that he initially liked the current donut, but he quickly got used to it. He can eat from it with no problem - I use a raised plate, it makes it easier. It's flexible enough to slip into its covered bed. He can't reach his butt or ears, but he can reach his ankle/foot. Washes well, air dry. The only very small issue with this collar is the cord closure which does not close well. Also, the cord is slippery and doesn't hold the knot well. But if you adjust the cord lock and then tie the cord twice, everything is fine.
