DO NOT USE them (from my experience)!

About a year ago I bought four of these for use in a Cisco SG50XG-8F8T Small Business 10Gbe Switch. I tried them shortly after purchasing them and they worked great, all four. I reconfigured some things so I didn't need them anymore and kept them for about 8 months. About 4 months ago I needed them again so I sent them back. Everything was fine for a week or two. back and I realized that both of my network connections to my VMWare ESXI 7 system showed the cable was disconnected. I eliminated everything and not only found that at least two of them were completely dead (started testing the other two and they looked the same). Not only did I have two (and probably now ALL) dead transceivers, I now found that it was KILLING two of my ports on the switch! That's what really annoys me! I already capped the ports to 10Gbe and this switch was pretty expensive! I've tried other transceivers that work with all other SFP+ ports, but NOT with the two ADOP devices I'm using. Time. I've just bought two more ADOP units but will definitely be returning them and will be looking for a big name brand to buy from now on and NEVER ADOP AGAIN! I can no longer lose SFP+ ports due to a low quality transceiver!

Pros
  • Network Transceiver
Cons
  • Without Automatic
