This was the perfect way to add a few TB of fast storage to my gaming rig. Yes, one drive must be NVMe and the other M2 Sata (2280 or similar). You must use separate adapters for the two NVMe. Anyway, I'm very happy with the purchase. Included are a few photos showing the rims I chose this time and an example of how the supplied racks should work as I saw in someone's review that m2 bolts are not included. This type of confrontation is not used in this way. Remove all blanks from the card and insert one at the end of each disk, insert the disk into the slot and then bring the end with the blank to the board. The stand fits into the hole and you insert the included screw from the back. As you can see on mine I decided to add some heatsinks to keep the temperatures down and this card goes well with that too. Either way, when you're done, simply screw the board to the bracket, turn off the power, and install the new update. No additional drivers required, no fuss no fuss, just format and set up new drives as you see fit. If you don't have Gen3 PCI set in your BIOS you may need to, but if your setup is up to date it's probably already installed. This adapter allowed me to disable a couple USB sticks that were hanging on the back of my machine and weren't as fast. Very happy with it!
