The first problem is that you have to set the switch on the microphone to the same position as the switch on the radio. They must both be on VOX or both on PTT. If you mix it up, it won't work and you will be very confused. At first I thought the mic switch would be an override, but it isn't. Maybe it's my fault. The second problem is that one of them was broken out of the box. The microphone didn't work. If the mic worked, I probably would have solved problem #1 much quicker. The third problem is that the microphone does not pick up the sound well. I can't hear at all. I have to hold it close to my mouth and scream. It's been working since I was on the mountain. However, this is not desirable. I do not recommend this.
