Terrible user experience = terrible product

OVERVIEW. If you lose the user manual, you will find it difficult to understand the user interface controls that you must use to set up this device. And even if you succeed, you will not like it. BACKGROUND: I have a nice alarm clock by my bed that I've been using for years, but I'd like an alarm clock with a wireless charging pad. So I can just put my iPhone on the device and my iPhone will be charged overnight and I don't have to fiddle with the cable in the dark. WHAT I LIKE: - I like the overall feature set of this product. They really tried to get an all-in-one solution at an affordable price, so I give credit to this company. ", so my iPhone starts charging. Other wireless chargers I've used are too finicky to be used reliably. This one isn't too bad, but it could be better. Sometimes, though that was my iPhone At the top of this multifunctional device, the charging pad didn't start charging my iPhone until I moved my iPhone a little more. When I place my iPhone at the top of this device, I want it to always start charging, and it does only reason it shouldn't is because my iPhone is hovering over part of that radio speaker alarm WHAT I DON'T WANT: - The UI buttons are terribly unintuitive. Good luck if you lose the instruction manual! You know you must press the down button for two seconds to change the temperature display from C to F?Do you know anything about the energy saving function and what you need?Do I need to press the same DOWN button QUICKLY to activate the energy saving function turn on or off? Do you know how to distinguish between "Dp-1", "Dp-2" and "Dp-3" in the settings menu, because you really only need to show the time on the display and don't have to switch between the date and time? Even reading the manual, I struggled to set up this product. Temperature measurements are useless. Right now it's showing 86 degrees Fahrenheit in a room that will cool from 78 to 76 degrees by evening. My house never gets to 86 degrees unless there is a power outage in my house or the central air conditioner is broken. Small, tinny speakers work, but don't sound very good. Exactly what you need for this price range. The device beeps every time I press the button. Guess what? If I want to turn off the LED display at night while my spouse is sleeping, I want (and my spouse doesn't want to) hear the beep! GDP! GDP! every time I click the button. There are few LED brightness controls, and none of them reduce the display's brightness to my liking. The included USB cable isn't very long, it should be around 5 or 6 feet instead of the usual. 3' long. Oddly enough, this device emits a small but distinctly high-pitched beep when the LED display is lit, which is annoying because I was trying to use it on an arm's length bedside table. When the LED display is off, there is no high-pitched tone, but there is no time display either. CONCLUSION: Do not buy this product. I hope that in the future the manufacturer will give someone a prototype *without* an instruction manual and ask them to use it. You will quickly realize how poorly designed their product is. If you need an instruction manual that's all you need to refer to to set up your new Bluetooth speaker alarm clock, you're doing it wrong. Not recommended!
