Smashbox shadow colors are very concentrated so not much can be achieved. I really like the matte palette because it's versatile. In addition to being used as an eye shadow, the preview color is ideal for brightening the inner corners of the eyes. I use the mixture on my brows to fill in lighter areas, Editor or Deadline as a wet or dry eyeliner, and on Supermodel I apply a small retractable brush which I then stretch out to use as a blush on my cheeks when traveling. . Finally, as a brunette, I use Angles to hide the roots of my gray hair so I can delay a trip to the hairdresser. This palette and a few small brushes is pretty much all I need for my travel makeup, which I use a lot but also use at home. It doesn't wrinkle and holds up so well I don't even have to touch it up during the day. The Matte Palette makes my life easier and my luggage lighter. This is the third time I order this product.
