I ordered these triggers with a YN-622C-TX controller after weighing the pros and cons between this and the more expensive Pocket Wizards. And like so many other people, blown away by all the rave reviews, they decided to roll the dice to save a few bucks. Well, it turns out that neither the triggers nor the controller will turn on out of the box with freshly installed batteries. Which is a bit odd, because both packages had a small, hand-printed "quality control card" included in the instructions. Well it's a joke. I read about this (twice) from another reviewer and figured this was definitely not going to happen to me, but it did. So I return them and invest in PocketWizards. If, like me, you're hesitating between saving on a cheap Chinese imitation or investing in a quality brand, ask yourself this: Would you rather be known as a reliable photographer using quality equipment? Or the curmudgeon whose equipment breaks down at a critical moment during filming. If you're even a semi-professional shooter like me, do yourself a favor and invest your money in something more reliable.
