Excellent quality and price!

I've been a photographer for several years and I've always wanted to experiment with ambient light. I first considered Pocket Wizard options, but for what I wanted to do, the option to combine the FlexTT5 and MiniTT1 quickly became expensive. I saw them online and did a little research, everyone seemed very happy with them so with such a great price I decided "why not give them a try?". Well, let me tell you, I'm very happy with my decision! They worked RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX without me having to

Excellent performance but there are quality control issues.

This is a great product and when it works it's fantastic. Combined with the YN-622-TX, this is probably the best wireless trigger system in this price range. That being said I think there is a quality control issue - I originally bought the YN622C (Not II) kit and had to return it because one of the two didn't work well with my Canon 580EX ii. I thought I was out of luck and maybe I would be better, so I got this. It turns out that once again one of the two devices doesn't like my 580EX ii. The

SHOULD BUY FLASH TRIGGERS, ESPECIALLY WITH YN-622C-TX

Straight to the point: PRO: Affordable, really easy to use, reliable signal from TX to receiver CONS: Not the best build quality, battery cover comes off quite easily , so you might lose it. It can do everything that other more expensive flash triggers can. I bought them specifically to achieve high sync speed, which is very important for action/high speed photography, and also for syncing your camera to high shutter speeds with flashes during the day. Straight out of the box and by turning it…

Works well with the 622C-TX transmitter

They work great together with the 622c-TX transmitter. (Works with 80D and 580EX II.) When using the camera as a reference, a Canon brand unit may also be installed. All menu items light up and work as expected. On the slave side they don't seem to have any problem communicating with the 580ex II (despite weatherproof boot) and easily allow remote control of output, scaling, HSS etc. I tested with one of these with 622c-tx so the shutter is triggered and while it is running there seems to be a…

You get what you pay for, or in my case less than you pay for

I ordered these triggers with a YN-622C-TX controller after weighing the pros and cons between this and the more expensive Pocket Wizards. And like so many other people, blown away by all the rave reviews, they decided to roll the dice to save a few bucks. Well, it turns out that neither the triggers nor the controller will turn on out of the box with freshly installed batteries. Which is a bit odd, because both packages had a small, hand-printed "quality control card" included in the…

Pros
  • Great choice
Cons
  • I'm worried

I bought Yongnuo transceivers to replace my reliable and simple Cowboy Studio triggers for two reasons: 1.) I prefer the locking joint on the bottom of the II version so it doesn't come off the tripod or camera slide. and 2.) so that I can still mount the flash on top of my camera when using it as a trigger on top. They hold up much better than the first version (YN622C) but I still had a fall off the stand (it's now wrapped in duct tape). They are more reliable than the first version. I can't…

Great flash triggers.

After no longer working as a studio photographer with studio lighting, I started using Cactus handheld triggers which I redesigned and made to work even up to 300ft 99% of the time. I have tried two different sets of these Neewer 622c version TTL triggers but they are incompatible at best. These Yongbuo triggers work great. I've put the Yongnuo through many tests and haven't noticed any issues, including 50 feet and multiple rooms. TTL exposure varies slightly when shooting without flash, so…

Very pleasantly surprised - I recommend

Found these after dabbling with off camera flash and am very happy with the results and price. When I first tried an off-camera flash and honestly didn't know what I was doing, I was stupid enough to go out and buy a $250 Canon flash, thinking it was the only option . I was a bit skeptical when I found Yongnuo products, but I saw some reviews on YouTube and decided to give it a try. For the price, maybe even better than the price, these are great products and I'm amazed at how cheaply they…
