Great flash triggers.

After no longer working as a studio photographer with studio lighting, I started using Cactus handheld triggers which I redesigned and made to work even up to 300ft 99% of the time. I have tried two different sets of these Neewer 622c version TTL triggers but they are incompatible at best. These Yongbuo triggers work great. I've put the Yongnuo through many tests and haven't noticed any issues, including 50 feet and multiple rooms. TTL exposure varies slightly when shooting without flash, so slight changes with flash are acceptable. One reason for the inconsistent exposure with these triggers can be that the camera doesn't have time to calculate the exposure. It is enough to pause a little when pressing the shutter button and wait a second to fully press the portrait. Having worked with manual triggers before, it took me a while to get used to the pause as well. To be honest, I mostly install them manually too. So far I'm very happy with them and have ordered another set as I traditionally do 4 flash setups. I use a 622c TX trigger which is good too. I use them with Canon 70d and 580 EXII flash, Neewer 985C flash, 2 Nikon SB-24 flashes (in manual mode). Since the lighting is constantly changing there is more flexibility and I no longer have to use a TTL cable. I'm also starting to think about adding more flashes and triggers to create more complex lighting setups. I had no problems with the locking mechanism being too loose. Frankly, the mechanism makes life easier for people with arthritis. The USB port also allows for updates. Although this can be more of a gimmick as they work well. I haven't used them outside of 622c mode. For me, these triggers work really well.

Pros
  • Supports 622C (YN-622C and YN-622C-TX) and (RF-605C, RF-603 II and YN560-TX) communication mode.
Cons
  • Dear

You get what you pay for - or in my case less than you pay for
