Review on Baofeng Tri Power 136 174MHz 400 520MHz Portable by Jerry Chembola

This is a great little radio. It is multifunctional, compatible with many accessories and easy to use. It's durable too. I work as a driver in remote areas, flying a truck on roads that are sometimes fist-sized gravel and boulders. This thing has been thrown and splattered with liquids more times than I can count and still works great. Sorry to people who say that 8 watts is just a marketing gimmick, but that is dead wrong. I did field tests with this model and the UV-5R. In the same spot, with the same antenna, I was able to hit the 2m and UHF repeaters in my work area every time with the UV-82HP, but never with the UV-5R.
