Review on πŸš— SCOSCHE SLC4 Car Stereo Speaker 4-Channel Audio Lineout Converter with Adjustable Level Controls and OEM Amplifier Adapter by Mike Devine

This is a must if you are running RCA preamp signals to your main amp and have engine noise

I was trying to replace the radio in a C4 Corvette with a Bose Gold sound system . This system sends low level RCA signals to each of the powered speakers. The problem with cheap head units (I've used Hipzo) is that they pick up a lot of engine and computer noise in the low-level signal. So the RCA outputs are useless as there is a lot of noise coming from inside the radio from these connections. So you use SL4 to connect to a full powered speaker output (it also has transformers for ground isolation) and reduce it back to a pure RCA low level output. This is the only practical way to get this type of system working. So if you want to send a low level RCA preamp signal to an external amplifier, this is a must when recording engine noise. This is likely to be needed if you have a C4 Corvette and are trying to use the Metra harness to bypass the stock receiver.

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • So far so good
