Turning is fun again - I know it sounds like a sad soldering iron. Simply place the wick on the pad you wish to desolder and then gently press the soldering iron on the top of the wick - do not hold the end of the wick with your other hand, leave it on the table or hold it by the end plastic case. .This wick pulls solder at least 2cm into the wick, must be a record! It's also flux coated - so you get a cool stinky high :P
