I didn't like the look of the chrome grommets on my blacked out Ram 1500 so I started looking for solutions. Yes they have black studs but in every review of every seller someone has complained about rust and believe me I couldn't admit I'm a perfectionist especially when it comes to my car. So I found these rubber caps and as everyone knows rubber doesn't rust but when I got these caps I found that they didn't cover the entire base and exposed the chrome ring. My solution was to take each lug off, sand the ring at the base of the wheel and paint and it worked flawlessly, it was time consuming and unnecessary for someone with a lug hole in the wheel. I will probably buy the black grommets but I will also have these to cover in case they rust.
