So I got the Geox Casey hoping to get some cute, functional sneakers for my little school girl. The black patent leather looked sleek and trendy, and the T-buckle felt like solid construction. But when we put them on and start our day, things get a little more complicated. At first glance the sizing seems a little off - it's difficult to get your foot in the shoe comfortably and once it's on it feels quite comfortable (and my daughter has pretty narrow feet). The buckle is also a little clunky and difficult to close, which can be a real problem in the morning rush. However, the biggest problem seems to be the ventilation design. Although Geox shoes are supposed to be breathable, I have found that my daughter's feet sweat uncomfortably during class. By midday she was dying to undress them and let her nipples breathe a little. Overall, these shoes aren't exactly terrible - they look cute and feel sturdy enough - but for the price, I expect a more comfortable design where my kid won't count down the seconds until they can take them off.
