I bought this to replace the blower motor again on a Ford F-150 04-08. 220,000 miles and this is his 3rd fan. I'm giving 3 stars for good reason. First, they don't last very long in hot, dry climates. And to make matters worse, they're noisy compared to the OEM models. In my opinion you need either an aftermarket exhaust system or a music system to muffle the sound. The last one I ordered was a different brand and didn't make a hiss but you can hear the blades turning. So it makes no difference which brand you order. I saw other reviews with the same experience. With this brand, I immediately notice that it doesn't blow as fast on the lowest setting, but blows a little faster on the highest setting. So in a sense it benefits in hotter climates. I've also made it a habit to run it at full speed to prevent mechanical air conditioning failure. Disadvantages aside, these fans are not easy to remove and install in a truck, but they are a Ford design. Get in the habit of hanging upside down in a tight spot and losing circulation just by talking. In summary, can you ignore the sound? You will receive a working fan motor.
