Not worth the space it takes!

Yes, I'm one of those people who can't boil eggs! Nevertheless, I bought it because it was recommended on a popular website. I took the 7 week old eggs out of the fridge first and followed the directions on the T for hard boiled. After dunking the eggs in an ice bath, I poke a hole in the carton and put them in the fridge. The next day I tried to peel the eggs. What a mess. The bottom of the egg with the hole was just mush, the yolk was runny. Phew, we love strong boiled. The dogs didn't even eat them! I tried the second batch. I left 7 eggs on the table and brought them to room temperature. I repeated the process again and followed the instructions. I dipped the eggs back into the ice bath, then placed them upside down in a carton and placed them in the fridge. The next day I tried cleaning them with much better results. After cleaning, I opened the egg. The yolk in contact with the albumen was dark green and the rest of the yolk was runny again. I don't know what I did wrong as I followed all the instructions as directed. The device is very cute and easy to use, but that doesn't make it work at all, so I'm sending it back. I'm better at handling a pot of water.
