I thought I'd save money and buy a spare battery for a fraction of the cost. However, Rosie the Roomba kept giving me error messages when I tried to charge it. Error 1 and 5 are connected to the battery. Roomba 500 requires OEM factory battery - no discussion. Don't be nice and try to save money because you'll just end up with a non-OEM return. This battery serves its purpose. I installed it and then clicked on the dock on the machine. Rosie crawled to the charge stand with no error message. I even let her walk around the house for a few minutes to make sure she wasn't making a mistake. We have a winner here!
