The locking clip is almost impossible to remove (I had to use a vise) and when you do, the aft plate wasn't drilled properly to slide it off easily. I had to use a metal file to reduce the diameter of the rods in order for the panel to fit. After removing the back plate I never bothered to put it back on as the locking clip is so tight that it was able to hold the speedbag in place. The length of the pole is also too short for a regular speedbag strap so attaching the clip was not easy by squeezing the leather strap and clipping on; I can't even imagine what it would be like to put on a plate of eight. If you experience a lot of frustration and own a metal shop, then this is a decent quick bag hanger for $25.
