Usefulness depends on ointment/cream

We bought this on recommendation from family and friends. I would find lotion type creams/ointments useful and effective, but not Aquaphor. I do not recommend. Aquaphor ointment is very thick and the spatula is not really suitable for picking up the required amount of ointment and spreading it evenly on our baby. could see that it works pretty well for that. The skin rash cream also gets under the nails in the product video - we have never had this problem with thicker ointments. After all, the spatula is another thing to clean up and we wash our hands after every diaper change anyway, so the product causes us more problems than it solves. The suction cup (like any other suction cup) is very dependent on the surface you are working on. For us, our countertop doesn't take it very well. I don't think it's a bad product, but maybe a little overprescribed. I recommend any potential user to try changing diapers and using creams/ointments first to determine if there is an issue that needs to be addressed first. We prefer to only use our fingers, and in some cases we use fingertips when cleanliness becomes an issue during particularly messy diaper changes. It's not for us, so here it's just buyer's regret.
