Best scans for the home user for the price

Very easy to use. The user interface is quite simple, even a little primitive, but easy to understand. You can do everything from low DPI scanning all the way up to 2400 DPI, which is a lot sharper than most are likely to need. It also automatically runs a test scan when you place a new object on the plate, so you can easily see what you're scanning and adjust the crop as needed. A worthwhile purchase that I will use primarily for old family photos that get damaged and are difficult to store…

Good scanner but obvious flaws

I ordered a Yew because of the large scanner platform and high quality color reproduction. All is well. What I didn't understand is that Bluetooth is not supported. Now I have this stupid USB cable running from my scanner table to my laptop. Second, the kit includes a CD to install the driver. I don't even have the ability to use the CD on my laptop and going online to download the driver wasn't user friendly. The driver software is in .rar format, which requires a special application to unpack

I sent it back.

I got a bad one. The glass was cloudy inside. Even at the highest settings, a photo will not scan clearly. About every fifth scan it stopped in the middle of a scan. I had to turn it off and on again to get it working again. If he did what he had to do, he could be a great scanner. The software that comes with it is rubbish, use something else, I won't suggest a brand. There are great programs there. I don't think it was new, I had that feeling from the start. It just didn't seem properly…

Does what it should.

So far I find this scanner mixed. I'm using a Mac and am still learning some of the features. I think a lot of the instructions are for PC users, which is useless, but I use one of the main Mac utilities, Image Capture, as recommended in the 'read me' file that came with the software download (there is no floppy drive on my iMac, so the installation disk is useless). Image Capture works great with a scanner. I still haven't figured out how to activate the buttons on the scanner itself, but I…

This Viisan VF3240 is a great A3 large format scanner

I read the specifications and reviews of all A3 large format scanners for a small amount. After visiting the Viisan website and looking at the Viisan VF3240, I found that it offers many more professional features than other similarly priced scanners. That's why I bought it.
