Very easy to use. The user interface is quite simple, even a little primitive, but easy to understand. You can do everything from low DPI scanning all the way up to 2400 DPI, which is a lot sharper than most are likely to need. It also automatically runs a test scan when you place a new object on the plate, so you can easily see what you're scanning and adjust the crop as needed. A worthwhile purchase that I will use primarily for old family photos that get damaged and are difficult to store. If you need to scan multi-page documents you'll need a feeder, but if you want to put four or five photos on the plate, each will be automatically selected and scanned one at a time, saving you a lot of time.
