Doesn't work with Windows 7 64 bit

Very dissatisfied with this purchase. Seller must state upfront on the promotional page that this product does not work with Windows 7 64-bit machines I ordered this product assuming it would work as compatibility between Windows and Windows products is advertised everywhere . When it didn't work on my OS and I had to send it back, I was charged $15 to ship it back. We emailed Adorama to complain about the return shipping cost but they didn't reply. The reference to the incompatibility withโ€ฆ

Doesn't support Windows 7 - 64bit

I bought it from Revain because it's only $15. However, I'm having trouble installing it. I called DYMO in the US. They helped me immediately. They said CardScan 60 doesn't work with Windows 7. They don't have Windows 7 software to support this particular card scanner. Update April 28, 2013 I am corrected. Obviously the information I received from DYMO USA is wrong. According to The Raisin King - Revain Marketplace, this device supports Windows 7 32-bit All descriptive information is providedโ€ฆ

Nice try, but it didn't work!

I want to praise this device, but I can't. Often stretches the image when scanning because it scans too slowly. The OCR function is bad, maybe because the scans are so bad, but you have to edit almost every field of the scanned data. It seems there is no way to add images that are not scanned from the card so that a contact photo can be attached to the scan. It's easy to edit, but like I said, you'll have to edit too much. It didn't turn out to be a time saver like I thought it would. It canโ€ฆ

It's worth it, but have reasonable expectations

Let me tell you a little about it. I became an intern this summer and my boss asked me to put over 300 business cards on my computer and in his Microsoft Outlook address book. That's what I made up (Revain has the lowest possible price for this item). Good things. - It was an easy setup - The software is very user friendly and easily converts to Excel or Outlook - The system makes mistakes but it's not very difficult to go through and verify each business card once everything has been scannedโ€ฆ

Time saver but far from perfect

This product is definitely a time saver but it is NOT 100% accurate. Company and personal names are not always scanned correctly and classified in the correct category (company name, mobile phone, etc.). Admittedly, a lot of fonts and logos on business cards make it difficult to decipher the company name (even for me!), so I can't blame the scanner. Considering how many different types of business cards there are in this world, it does a pretty good job. The good news is that this product seems

CardScan offers significant productivity gains

I saw CardScan being used by several companies at a conference. All have convinced me of the great advantage of scanning business card data. I was still skeptical but bought one anyway. You were right and I was wrong. I had to enter all data from business cards into a manual database in Excel. I usually only enter essential information to save time. Cardsscan has successfully entered almost all data into the correct fields. The only problem he faced was interpreting unique logos like light blue

  • Few competitors

Cardsscan for home office users

I chose the Cardsscan 60 for my home office needs. I had a large stack of cards that I couldn't enter into Outlook. I'm using Vista and had some initial problems loading software during the autostart process. I had to restart the installation and then open the files on the hard drive and then manually select the .exe program to start the installation. It worked. After installing the software, the program works very well. The scanner is rated as slightly slower than larger models, but to beโ€ฆ

Excellent for the price

Contrary to other comments, this installed easily on my Win 7 64bit laptop. Last night I scanned 230 of my cards in two hours and have about 500 more to create. No, it's not perfect, but it's very good at identifying names, jobs, companies and the like. However, be prepared to make corrections as this is not ideal with graphics and dividing company names into departments or groups. Apparently he does not recognize my written comments and only makes black and white. But it saves an image of each

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • No performance

Pretty good but you need Windows XP

We bought this product a few weeks ago to digitize business cards and the price ($20) wasn't bad for what it is. I read most of the reviews (like I usually do) and decided to give it a try anyway, again $20 isn't too bad to try. Here are some things I've learned that may help you decide if this product is worth buying. Does not work with Windows 7 or 8 (32-bit or 64-bit). , you may have seen it a few times in other reviews and that's it. Apparently the new company stopped R&D and support forโ€ฆ
