I saw CardScan being used by several companies at a conference. All have convinced me of the great advantage of scanning business card data. I was still skeptical but bought one anyway. You were right and I was wrong. I had to enter all data from business cards into a manual database in Excel. I usually only enter essential information to save time. Cardsscan has successfully entered almost all data into the correct fields. The only problem he faced was interpreting unique logos like light blue IBM letters with horizontal lines. I was able to export the data to Excel and share it with others. This prompted me to expand my Outlook skills beyond just email and switch to Outlook with customer relationship management, which was another great acquisition. Not only do I have more detailed information about prospects, I can use communication history, task scheduling, and many other Outlook features I've never used before. My boss admits it has increased my productivity through customer contact and exceeded his expectations for a single person. Buy it, you will like it. It exceeded my expectations. The only issue I had was that the feed mechanism is a bit sensitive to the card feed direction in order to scan properly. Once you got a feel for the pitch, I didn't have any more problems.
