Amazing Results - Office Electronics

I bought this scanner to digitize my parents photos/negatives that are over 30 years old. I have to say that the results from this scanner are amazing, especially when scanning negatives. The scanner driver does most of the hard work. For me it does almost everything as the automatic defaults are great and I don't really have to deal with each image after scanning which is fine depending on how many items I have to scan. The software that comes with the scanner is decent, especially Photoshop…

Step back in quality

I wanted to use this scanner as a replacement for a failed Canon scanner model 8600F which I have used to scan many thousands of slides and photos. When I got the new scanner I scanned about 100 slides that didn't seem as sharp and the slides that were scanned with the previous scanner. I then viewed these scanned images on my widescreen TV. Again, the images were less clear. So I rescanned a slide previously scanned with the 8600F. Scanner. I then compared the two scans. Scans from the 9000…

Error scanning more than one image from negative strip

I bought it because of good reviews, at Revain and Off. I couldn't get it to scan color negatives flawlessly. Spent a lot of time with Canon support. The first came back. have a second Had the same problem. The second returned. Epson v600 test. Pros: Excellent photo scanning. Cons: Problems scanning negatives, old software (Adobe Photoshop Elements 8). The problem was that the first image from the negative strip was scanned normally. he even passed it on to the acquiring program. but then gave…

Works great in Mac OSX 10.7.3 Lion!

I have been using Canon scanners for over 20 years. I've been waiting to update my Mac Pro to OSX 10.7.3 Lion (from OSX 10.6.8 Snow Leopard) due to compatibility issues between Photoshop (older versions) and Canon scanner. After buying a new Mac Pro a week ago, I was forced into Lion. I bought Photoshop CS5 but haven't upgraded my scanner from the CanoScan 8400f (a SUPER workhorse scanner!). The 8400f was dead in Lion as Canon no longer supports it with drivers/software. The Canon website has a

Extremely happy good for scanner

This Canoscan 9000 replaces a cheap Canon printer/scanner and a very old Nikon LS 1000 35mm film scanner. It was very easy to set up basic work just to do the Download latest drivers for Mac OS X Lions. As a flatbed reflex scanner, I have no complaints. It works exactly as it should and has way more resolution than I'll ever need (I think!). The main reason for choosing this scanner is its ability to scan film up to 6cm wide. I used to scan quite a bit with Nikon and gave up scanning because it
