Amazing Results - Office Electronics

I bought this scanner to digitize my parents photos/negatives that are over 30 years old. I have to say that the results from this scanner are amazing, especially when scanning negatives. The scanner driver does most of the hard work. For me it does almost everything as the automatic defaults are great and I don't really have to deal with each image after scanning which is fine depending on how many items I have to scan. The software that comes with the scanner is decent, especially Photoshop Elements. However, I would like to have more control over file naming. Each set of images you import/scan will appear as image1.jpg. etc., but the next sentence you scan will duplicate the names. so image1-1.jpg which makes it quite ugly since all the images are actually the same negatives. Canon's software isn't all that popular and it's best just not to use it. It seems to scale and change the default images. where I would rather keep the size/quality separate from the imported/scanned photo. Once you get rid of the creases, the scanner produces amazing results, especially when scanning negatives. The resulting images look much better and more accurate than prints. of course they have disappeared in the last 30 years. Update: I've scanned over 8500 old photos and this scanner is amazing. Photos come out so well. I would recommend this scanner to anyone.
