It breaks my heart to write this but as every other purchaser since the new formula has been released has written it is absolutely terrible. I do not know what The Body Shop was thinking when they reformulated but they have ruined the best moisturizer on the market and ended up with one that is so terrible after 20 hours of trying to endure it I had to have a shower to wash it off and I will not use any more out of the three brand new large tubs I purchased. Straight into the garbage. As previously mentioned the first thing you notice with the new formula is when you open the jar is there’s no scent, which on its own would’ve been tolerable but not as nice. The second thing you notice as you dip your fingers into the cream is that it feels like it’s curdled and it’s hard chunks of some thing and it’s texture is sticky and coarse. As anyone that would have used this previously knows the original formula was the most luxurious almost sensual feeling cream. Gone now. The last step is the worst where you’re actually applying it and on freshly washed and exfoliated dried skin it sits on the surface no matter how much you rub it around and it feels sticky and tacky and honestly almost repulsive. I applied it in the morning and by the night time I was seriously disappointed that it still felt the same way all the way through my clothes and my skin just felt dirty like I needed a shower. I attempted to sleep with it and had one of my worst nights of sleep ever. It dragged across my sheets that are very silky bamboo and usually just slide all over me but now it just kept getting stuck and my arms were sticking to my body and everything just felt terrible so much so that Christmas morning the first thing that I did was have a shower to rid myself of my once favorite body lotion. As others have said I’ve purchased this body lotion for as far back as I can remember and I’m heartbroken that they have destroyed it. I hope with all my heart that the body shop hears these comments and gives us back the old version. At this point my three brand new tubs have gone in the garbage and I will not be purchasing anything else from The Body Shop.
