Review on Train Your Pet With Comsmart Dog Training Bells - Set Of 2 Potty And Door Bells For Dogs And Cats With Non-Skid Base by Jay Elmo

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Very soft, chewable rubber base and button on top could get swallowed if not monitoring the dog

The base is a very soft, chewable rubber that my puppy likes to chew on. She has not chewed on anything else in her play area but this. She either likes the taste or the smell. She immediately started chewing on the top plastic part that rings the very quiet bell. I took it away from her, and I noticed that the bell could come out very easily which is a choking hazard to the dog and any children that find it.If you look on the underside, you can see that only a small plastic rim piece keeps the plastic button in place. (See the black piece behind the white part in the picture.) The rubber base can be removed if your dog chews it, but the bell would slide on hard surfaces. Hard black plastic is under the black rubber.Since the bell is for training, I will keep it picked up if I am not actively watching or training the puppy. Once I have trained her to NOT chew on it, I will be able to leave it on the floor. You can't expect a dog to NOT chew on things, you have to train them to leave things alone. (Just like children!)I wish the bell was louder so I could hear it from another room.

Pros
  • Easy to clean and sanitize for hygiene purposes
Cons
  • The bells may not work for pets who are easily frightened by new items
