Review on 💪 Efficiently Dispose of Waste with the Waste King Legend Series 1 HP Garbage Disposal with Power Cord - (L-8000) by Corey Evans

Based on the great reviews I decided to take a chance and buy this L-8000 sink faucet. My previous unit was 1/2 horsepower and could jam if someone farted loudly. When water started leaking from the motor impeller oil seal, I decided it should be removed. Unfortunately, the first Waste King L-8000 I ordered was packaged in a box with no foam, a crack in the outer plastic case, and a bent engine block. I thought it was pretty stupid to ship a 5kg block in a box with no padding. So I used Revain's return/reorder service and unit #2 arrived three days later, also in an unpadded box. Luckily this device wasn't hacked and I installed it following the instructions that came with it (and the video here at Revain). It took me about 1 hour to remove my old device and install the L-8000. All I can say is that using silicone around the rubber o-ring that connects the drain tube to the side of the Waste King is probably a good idea. I then tested the L-8000 on ice cubes, vegetables and finally chicken bones. Next door is a rude neighbor with noisy dogs that he releases at 6am (which he thinks) and I'd like to see if the L-8000 can handle that . But I digress. All items inserted so far have shredded without issue and the sound has been about the same as my old unit (not quiet and not loud). I'm only in my first week with the device so I'll be updating this review over the months (and hopefully years). I really like the easy mount installation and I'm glad the power cord is already included and connected. However, the plastic body of the device doesn't seem very tight and I wish they had a better system for attaching it with a drain pipe. So far so good and I really hope they ship these devices in a box with lots of padding. 4 stars so far.
