Don't let the photos fool you. They don't pick up and just unfold/open right up to be emptied, as shown. It's really hard to manipulate the mat into position in order to dump all the litter from it . and while you're at it, random litter tends to land everywhere. It's kind of unavoidable as you pick it up and move to dump it out. And if a cat throws up on them, it's nearly impossible to get the wet stuff out of the holes; not a fun game. But we've learned to live with these things, since the mat does the job of keeping excess litter inside and not across our floors.
