I bought a size down for my 4.5 year old (who normally wears a size 5T). Leggings from Old Navy and Primary are too tight, but she says they don't feel tight at the ankle or waist. She weighs about 40 pounds and is a bit tall for her age. It's a good price, but they tend to build up on the inner thigh pretty quickly. I would say you get what you expect for the money but they are great for my child to wear under school uniform dresses and play with. I wasn't expecting super high quality given the price, but they meet our needs and were more generous than many leggings.
