Wrong thread for my needs
I ordered these to fix the engine cover on the John Deere mower. Home Depot and Big R didn't have matching screws (1/4-28) so I bought them online. I didn't understand that there are (at least) three different thread pitches: standard, fine and "automatic". I needed a fine and that's why machine threads didn't work on my mower. Otherwise they look like nice screws!
