Wrong grade of stainless steel as advertised

These screws are highly magnetic - strong enough to stick to a magnet when held in air. If it were the specified grade of stainless steel, they would not have a strong magnetic attraction.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Expensive

Replace 4t65e transmission self-tapping screws.

I used these to replace the transmission pan bolts in a GM 4t65e transmission. It has a nut size of 8mm, the factory bolts have a nut size of 10mm, I don't care for this application, they are ok when shouldered.

Pros
  • Great Price
Cons
  • Repair

Good Quality, Best in Fasteners

I use these in my car's engine bay to spruce things up a bit, these bolts are the perfect replacement for the factory captive bolts. I also like the 8mm bushings, I'll probably buy more of these so it's good that you can get them in different lengths.

Cons

Great for low torque applications

I use notched flange bolts in applications that are subject to vibration and thermal expansion. Mandatory for mounting manifolds on aluminum heads. Thread lubricant is used on aluminum nuts to prevent electrolytic corrosion. A little of this stuff and your aluminum heads will thank you.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Protection

Fast and SS on Hex Bolts

They arrived quickly and complete, great price - Stainless steel bolts are perfect for replacing all rusty bolts on my Toyota and Honda, even Audi and VW cars that use M6x20. You can shorten them if you need shorter ones here and there. The flange head is great - since you don't need washers, the flanges have tiny lugs that are lightly ribbed on the underside to keep the bolts from loosening.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

Works but note

I needed extra screws to complete my patio gazebo. The instructions said they were M6 20 bolts and required 10mm sockets so I came here and found them. I was expecting these screws to need the same heads, however this required 8mm screws. No big deal, still did what needed to be done but something that needs revealing

Size and quality

I would give 5 stars for the quality of the stainless steel nut and bolt. However, I would only give three stars for the accuracy of the advertising and sizing. Average 4 stars. The nut head size is accurate and a 10mm head is used. Screw head size is less than 10mm (5/16) inch, so will not fit 10mm and require inch head for installation. The ad said it was a metric screw, but it wasn't! It is very annoying that two wrenches are needed to secure the nut and bolt assembly!

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Some flaws

I bought these for Land Rover LR3/Discovery 3/Range Rover Sport skid plate. M10x25 is the right size and has the same 13mm hex head. This is a perfect replacement for the LR KYG500500 part, which is a stronger 10.9 hardened steel bolt, but rusts badly on the bottom of the car. These stainless steel screws should be strong enough (considering I only had 4 out of 8 originals that held them and they were badly rusted and the screw clips they screw into fail anyway. It was about $10 for 10 vs $7…

Pros
  • Elegant Design
Cons
  • Long Delivery Time
