I like that these are slightly larger than my usual coffee-cup.

So I can get another good sip or two in.the glaze on the inside is colorful and slick, so it washes off easy (even when I leave a cuppa on the desk overnight).I like the feel of the outside, too. it's sort of matte, so I don't feel like it's about to try and slip out of my hand.I've been using them in the microwave without incident, and the ceramic doesn't seem to heat on it's own.Also, the Handle loop is large enough that it doesn't transfer a lot of heat to my hand.
