Review on ROLTA OnPoint by Ellington Gardner

The ability for us as an agency with limited resources (both time/money) is that we can use it in our own way without having to rely solely upon others who have more experience than ourselves! We are able to create maps of all sorts using this software - from simple county level mapping through to very complex regional planning projects involving several agencies within one region or state. It's not perfect but I would be hard pressed to find another GIS system which has so many features available at such low cost compared to other systems out there? If anyone was looking for something cheap then they might want to look elsewhere because if their budget doesn't stretch far enough, Rolta may just fit what they need best!? Creating map tiles / geodatabase layers etc., creating shapefiles & importing them back onto ArcMap via OGR format files.
