Review on Haapaw 2 Packs Martingale Dog Collar: Ideal Collars for Small, Medium, and Large Dogs by Michelle Lynn

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Appears to be good quality but didn't fit me (it's not the product's fault)

Good quality leash and collar. The leash feels solid and the handle is very comfortable but for me it's a bit short but that's not the leash's fault, it's just a little shorter than my existing one which causes my dog to pull more. The collar seems comfortable. However, I just don't see a way to use such a collar - I prefer harnesses, although I know they encourage pulling, they still seem like a better option than neck pulling at any level. I really wanted to try this type of collar as I know many people find it effective and I put it on my dog but the leash was too heavy and pulled the collar out of the way. So I tightened the collar and it fit, but I just couldn't see the tension/heaviness on my dogs rather thin necks. Then when I tried to remove the collar it was very difficult as there is no buckle to undo (I understand the classic martingale has no buckle and I wanted to try a buckleless buckle). It was so hard to untie and my dog didn't have the patience to play around with collars and leashes so the thought of adjusting it 6-8 times a day for 3-4 walks wasn't something I couldn't do . Again, this isn't the product's fault, it's just not an option for me and my dog.
