Review on Babish Stainless Steel German Cutlery Set, 3-Piece with Knife Roll, Silver by Jeremy Carpenter

Before doing this review, let me say that I am a huge fan of this creator and I am glad that he makes quality tools at an affordable price. The reason I am giving this 3 stars is because there is definitely room for improvement. Any decent cook will tell you that a knife sharp enough to use should easily cut through a piece of paper, it fails that test. not even close. I have no doubt that they can be sharpened to pass this test and possibly hold that edge for a while depending on the quality of the steel, but the target audience for these knives probably won't want to sharpen their new knives on the go. box, if at all. I also received a paring knife with a blade flaw from mechanical sharpening, I'm assuming this is specific to my set and not a widespread problem and it's just another problem easily fixed with a sharpening stone. Overall I think it's a great starter set with the knives you need most in the kitchen. I appreciate that it includes a knife set for those who don't already have one. There are some improvements that need to be made, but I would definitely recommend these knives.
