Failed in 10 days: GPS, finder and accessories

I bought this to fit a cradle in my Honda Civic which has a steeply sloped windscreen and curved dashboard. Week the plate started to peel off the sticky circle. I pressed it several times and each time it stuck for several days before peeling off again. Maybe the magnifying sun effect from the windshield was part of the problem, but now I have a sticky circle of glue on my dash with a useless mounting plate loosely stuck to it. So no functionality and a bit of clutter on my dashboard.
