I received the cable a few days ago. On the first day I had no problems (performance-wise). On the second day, when I ran Index for the first time, I got a bad connection warning. However, after I clicked the "Reset" message in the SteamVR dialog, everything was fine. It connected to 144Hz on both days and I didn't notice any issues in VR. Now for the "but". in the title. The main reason I give this 3 stars is that while it technically supports the index, it has one major flaw. The index requires additional capacity. The original cable has a connector for connecting a power supply. I didn't realize that this is a standard round connector, not a micro USB. The description says it "supports the Index", which is "technically" accurate, but the performance is one hell of a limitation as it partially (or completely) defeats the purpose of the extension cord, as the Index supports that performance requires. I would give one star. (maybe two if today's warning was just a fluke) if they updated their description to be much clearer on that front. Even better if they could include an adapter to connect the cable's micro USB connector to Index's original AC adapter. Or, for something extra, offer another option that has an adapter or the right connector for the Index Trident. My setup is unique and I have an outlet under the ceiling. Index's original AC cord is long enough to get from there to the extension point, so I can keep using this extension cord. Since that's how it works for me, I think I'll leave the cable. For now, however, I'm giving it three stars because they weren't honest enough to point out this limitation of the power cord by saying they "support the index". Since this is the first review, I hope other buyers see it first so they can make an informed choice. If they had clearly stated the caveat or declared no support for the index (in which case I should have researched that) I would have left a much more positive review. The cable is important if you're reading this. I'm willing to update my review provided you update the description minimally and ideally can you suggest the adapter I need so I don't need an AC adapter on my ceiling.
