Bought two of these, none of them working

I was looking for a way to extend my Oculus Rift in another room. I bought two of these cables thinking I would need the extra length, but I only needed one cable. However, none of the Displayport cables work. The USB 3.0 side definitely works and I can see it transferring headset data, but the display itself doesn't work. I'm using this on an RTX 3090. The headset itself works fine when connected directly to the graphics card, but these cables don't work. I've tried resetting and reconnectingโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Unique dual DisplayPort male and female extension cable combination design The USB extension cable combines both data cables into one; Avoid tangled cables when playing VR games with the combo cable
Cons
  • Almost OK

Broken display port, ideal for computer accessories and peripherals

. I bought this because my computer is in my room and there is no place to use my eye crack. The cable seemed great at first until it was time to remove it from the Displayport. The hooks releasing it from the port didn't work when I pressed the button. When it finally came out, my displayport stopped working. So now I have a broken cable and a broken display port on my graphics card. Revain said they could replace the cable and sent me to the seller for damages. It's been a week and I haven'tโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Integrated USB extender supports VR headset USB 3.0 cable for headset audio and controller tracking; The USB cable extender is equipped with active chipset to boost USB signal, prevent audio glitches, VR controller or motion tracking issues and disconnects; The optional microB power connector supports USB data transfer to a PC with low-power USB ports.
Cons
  • is embarrassing

I bought this cable to use with the Rift S but it doesn't work. The problem, as you can see with a lot of people if you search the web, is that even with high end video cards (mine) the cables are too long to get the signal through computers. They try to fix this by providing an active chipset that you plug the USB cable into (which works), but they don't do the same for the display port cable (doesn't work). I ended up buying a $20 active displayport extender (wired too, find out) and itโ€ฆ

Pros
  • VR and USB 3.0 Extension Cable is compatible with DisplayPort based VR headsets and supports resolutions up to 8K for future security and broadest support; Driverless installation provides true auto-tuning
Cons
  • No performance

I REALLY wanted to love it, but.

There are many reasons to extend the reach of your VR headset, but VR itself makes it difficult to do so to reach. A simple extension cord won't work, the signal doesn't have enough power to go the distance. Active power cables are required but can be expensive. I really wanted to like it. For me with an Oculus Rift S and previous issues with limited headroom, this expansion makes a lot of sense. The package arrived quickly and it's pretty easy. You've taped together an "active" DisplayPortโ€ฆ

  • Cable is shorter than other options

Seems ok but. for computer cable adapter

I received the cable a few days ago. On the first day I had no problems (performance-wise). On the second day, when I ran Index for the first time, I got a bad connection warning. However, after I clicked the "Reset" message in the SteamVR dialog, everything was fine. It connected to 144Hz on both days and I didn't notice any issues in VR. Now for the "but". in the title. The main reason I give this 3 stars is that while it technically supports the index, it has one major flaw. The indexโ€ฆ

Pros
