I recommend replacing old disks with an ordinary solid-state drive, but with caution (stability) - there is simply nothing to talk about in a couple of months regarding the drive's stability. In general, an ordinary solid-state drive. Some pros: It came back to life, it works, it is more or less stable - I didn't notice any major problems and complaints, and in general it's not expensive. I replaced the HDD in an old laptop with an SSD, and it did come back to life. Its cons: Both the speed characteristics and the stability are about average; however, there have been a few failures, which indicates that the stability is doubtful. Yet, I find it to be bearable.
