This is the second of these mouthguards that I have bought and they are great. The slimmer design is great for jiu-jitsu and other contact sports, but probably not the best for hitting (boxing, muay thai, etc.). It gave me great protection after my jaw pounded a few times. While subtle, I don't really agree that it allows you to talk to the Kappa except with simple one-word commands. The directions were simple enough, but I recommend using boiling water (or nearly boiling), even though they don't say so. You will get better and faster form.
