Eliminates background noise with an external DAC when using the external power supply option
Use with older MBOX external USB audio interface. I had issues with audible noise in the digital audio, commensurate with processor load. This got rid of the noise, but I had to use an external power supply. It's great that they offer this option, but it would be great if they could isolate the 5V path so that wouldn't be necessary.
