OVERLY AGGRESSIVE COPY PROTECTION SPOILS DIGITAL INPUT

Why only three stars? The digital input on this is overly sensitive and prevents me from recording digitally too often. I'm not trying to bootleg CD's, I use this in my recording studio to make quick CD's for clients. I fed it from my Waves L2 using the digital output and half the time the CD recorder won't let me record because of the copy protection.I'm ok with the sound and features on this low priced CD recorder. I have finally given up on the digital input and just use analog now. At least…

Pros
  • You won't have to put up with choppy, broken or distorted sounds anymore, thanks to the TEAC CD-RW890MK2-B Recorder's advanced noise reduction technology that ensures clear sound quality
Cons
  • Controls might be too small for some users

I have own several Teac products in the pass and the present again excellent product love the sound. But not happy with the customer service when I first purchased at the time I had a couple technical questions not one of the phone numbers giving by Teac work the web side never responded.Sincerely:Carlos J.DominguezPS:I got solution to my questions my self, in the pass Teac has been great with Q&A not this time.

Pros
  • It was easy to hook up to receiver and plays very well.
Cons
  • Complicated User Interface

CD are like 8 track

I bought a new car a Ford Exp 2020 about a month ago, I asked salesman where the CD slot was, he said no one use them anymore? Well I brought the car home told my wife we can only play them at home, so I turned on my CD player it kept playing the same CD it holds 5, I went to Walmart and they had it the same kind, I got lucky. Works great!

Pros
  • TEAC
Cons
  • Possible issues while recording from tapes

GREAT DEAL AND EASY TO USE

LOVE MY CD RECORDER SO MUCH ,BECAUSE I CAN TRANSFER MY DAD'S OLDIES MUSIC CASSETTES , RECORDS ONTO CD'S SO EASY AND IT SOUNDS SO FRESH AND CLEAR. AND FOR A GREAT PRICE ALSO. MY DAD LIKES THE CD RECORDER BETTER THAN MY LAPTOP TO BURN MUSIC. I GLAD I FOUND IT AT AMAZON .

Pros
  • AUTO TRACK. Auto track detects silent intervals when dubbing records or cassettes to CD-R/RW, automatically incrementing track numbers. This reduces time and labor associated with manually assigning individual track numbers.
Cons
  • No USB input for digital transfers

Dependable and easy to operate.

This device is used to record worship services at my church. It functions to my expectations and is easy to teach my helpers to use as well. For the price it was acceptable and serves the purpose.

Pros
  • looks real good like remote
Cons
  • Limited range of Bluetooth connectivity

A Good Low Cost CD Recording Solution

Works as describd nd is easy to use. Great price for a CD Recorder and one of the few options still available if you want to record CDs. You can record CDs with individual tracks intact contrary to what some reviewers seem to think. Just use Sync mode. Records well from both digital and analog sources and the ability to use 'non audio' standard CD-Rs and CD-RWs is an added bonus given how hard Audio CD-Rs are to find and thier cost differential. I have used several brands now without any…

Pros
  • Home Audio
Cons
  • Might scratch some CDs

Great Product - my new review

Did not do what I was looking for and that was to record a program using an over the air tv box so I could record it on a cd and play it on my car stereo.

Pros
  • Easy to use.
Cons
  • ok didnt like

I use it only for recording LP's to CD. The Analog set up is not easy and seems to have to be set up constantly. The record level doesn't seem to be able to be set high enough to work with my pre-amp. I've set it up on my secondary system.

Pros
  • The TEAC CD-RW890MK2-B Recorder is user-friendly, making it easy for everyone to make their own CDs with ease, no matter their technical expertise
Cons
  • Does not fit any standard rack

Picky little machine

So far I've made several mix downs of my band. It has done a great job. However this machine is picky. It seems to not like how I want to get started recording. So I have to navigate a couple buttons until it likes it. I use the pause button a lot too. One time I had to pause, go take care of a matter outdoors, came back and it was back in record mode recording nothing. Weird. Nut so far do good. Have had it only a short time so time will tell. Yes I would recommend it.

Pros
  • Very easy to use, and does the work I need.
Cons
  • Slow Wi-Fi Connectivity

Do not buy from this seller!

I put five stars so it would be read. I bought this as a gift for a church sound system. It never worked. We even had a professional look at the setup and he said it was installed correctly but was not working. All it would do was make popping noises over the speakers, (while trying to record a sermon) I finally got it back and the seller will not take it back. I would suggest if you are looking for cd recorder please look at other products. Do not buy from this seller!

Pros
  • This CD burner is OK. The problem is when you do a records in the beginning it skipped.
Cons
  • No Support for Multi-session Discs

I liked the ease with which it worked. I disliked the fact that I had to always choose the input I needed. Why didn't it just use the same input I worked with on the last recording session? I also had to re-adjust the recording level each time.I disliked the click it put on the beginnings of some of the recordings. That was the most annoying thing on this recorder.

Pros
  • AUDIO QUALITY. Synchro recording starts automatically at the beginning of a track and halts when the signal stops. A center CD drive minimizes vibrations. Display and power switch are on the left, control buttons and headphone jack are on the right.
Cons
  • No support for CD-text

Works perfectly for our needs. The only caveat is .

Works perfectly for our needs. The only caveat is that if you power down the unit, you must re-enter all the menu items when you power up for the next use. I am trying to educate all the staff to leave it turned on. But, it is disappointing to have to spend several minutes setting up if someone forgets and hits the power button.

Pros
  • We use this at our church to record the church services. Easy to use and works great.
Cons
  • No Support for USB or External Drives

Excellent Unit - my new review

It took me a few times of using it to get the hang of it because I've never had a CD recorder before. But now that I have the hang of it, it's very easy to use and makes excellent recordings, even from cassette tapes, which is great because some of my over 300 cassettes are getting old and starting to fall apart and losing some quality. Even though I have most of them recorded to my computer, It's much more convenient to have then on CD. I also have a very nice stereo set-up so they sound much,

Pros
  • Haven't used all its functions yet but at this point I'm very satisfied
Cons
  • No support for auto-track divide

Back doing what I love to do

I have recorded different blues artist on my Aiwa burner in the past, but it finally stop working. Gives me a chance to listen to my collection. Now I'm back in action. Did not know if I could still buy this type of burner.Thank You

Pros
  • Sounds great and works as advertised. A Teac all the way.
Cons
  • No Auto Level Control

This is a piece of junk -- surprising for a TEAC product. The led level mechanism is so poorly engineered that it is impossible to reach even the middle of the scale (assuming my unit is not defective). This results in a playback level that swings widely from one track to the next -- there being no way to even out the led level of the tracks without completely obscuring some of the softer tracks. It also makes listing to a CD while traveling in a car virtually impossible because the car CD…

Pros
  • I was able to get it set up and started recording family tapes without much trouble.
Cons
  • Fragile disc tray

Fun with cds for my opinion

This is a replacement for an older recorder that I used for my personal recordings of my own compositions. I use two recorders to transfer an individual song on one recorder to a final disc on the second recorder. The end product is a disc with multiple songs that I have written. This can only be done once with CD-R discs. Additional copies have to be made on a cd duplicator. I'm sure that there are more ways to produce a cd, but this system has worked for me. You can use CD-RW discs as these…

Pros
  • I've been recording music for more than 25 years, and this recorder is easy and ready to record.
Cons
  • The preamp is too weak for some turntables

Terrible Playback Quality

First I thought I had the recording level too high. Then I kept looking for connection/wiring problems. I kept noticing a fuzzy sound in the right channel on my own recordings as well as with pre-recorded cd's. Tried everything and then switched to a cheap Samsung cd player and playback on the pre-recorded cd's is great. Now to see if the recordings I have made with the TEAC CD-RW890MK2-B sound better when played back on the Samsung player. Very disappointed already and if I find that the…

Pros
  • The TEAC CD-RW890MK2-B Recorder also features a remote control, allowing you to control the device from the comfort of your couch
Cons
  • No support for editing tracks and fading
