The Good: I had bought a new graphics card that required more power than my stock 250 watt supply could give, so I decided to give this one a try. I chose it because it was cost-effective for me, and I figured that having double my previous power would be enough to handle the low power demands of the motherboard and cpu, while handling the new GPU (nVidia GTX 1650) that needed 300-350 watts (I am not an expert on any of these things, my understanding is basic to intermediate just so you know)…

Pros
  • The cables are friendly use and more compact than other brands.
Cons
  • Only Bronze certified, not as efficient as Gold or Platinum

DOA. Ooops. My bad!

Hooked this up to a new motherboard and could not get it to POST. Reset the CMOS, reseated the RAM and reseated the power connections but still no go. Now the PSU will not even power itself up. Dead.EDIT: This had more to do with my inexperience with ATX power supplies and I now believe the motherboard I was trying to use it with was faulty. Tried this power supply on something I recently received and seems to working fine!

Pros
  • Got this on sale and so far has worked perfectly. Much nicer than I expected for the low price.
Cons
  • Poor quality components and cheap construction

Well packaged, fast delivery

Great power supply, took five minutes to install. Fan is whisper quiet, slight hum from motor but no big deal. Not a gamer, but this seems more than adequate for usual home office apps and internet. Replaced Orion HP-400D.

Pros
  • Comes with multiple cable connectors, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of devices
Cons
  • May not work well in hot or humid environments

Good price - my new review

I liked how it came with a tester. Helped me confirm that my old PSU was actually in fact not broken, and that I did not need to order this one. That being said, this was cheap enough that it helped me gain peace of mind and confidence that it was my motherboard that broke, rather than a faulty PSU unit.

Pros
  • Comes with a comprehensive warranty and customer service support
Cons
  • May cause data loss or corruption due to unstable power supply

Excellent power supply and even better price

This product came extremely well packed, included everything you need, including zip ties and a velcro strap for cable management. It is extremely quite and you can’t beat the price!

Pros
  • This is a great quality power supply. I highly reccomend it if you’re looking to build a gaming PC.
Cons
  • High power consumption, not energy-efficient

Perfect for Beginner upgrades

This is the perfect choice for upgrading a stock PSU for a gamming PC. The instructions are clear and beginner friendly. Highly recomend for any beginner upgrading their gaming PC.

Pros
  • Internal Power Supplies
Cons
  • Inefficient power consumption, increases energy bills

Good for a low budget PC

If you building a high end PC you should probably get something with a higher wattage, but if you're a beginner who's building a budget rig, this is great.(It's also good if you're looking for something to ground yourself with while building another PC.)

Pros
  • It works very well!!!
Cons
  • Unpredictable behavior during power surges or outages

Fabulous unit! for my opinion

Great product! Bought one previously and put in a buddies build and its been great! Decided to put another one in my NAS build and I have no complaints. Can't go wrong for the price point.

Pros
  • Generates minimal noise, ensuring a quiet computing experience
Cons
  • Noisy transformer humming during operation

Low noise, large fan and easy install!

This 500 watt power supply is excellent. Tested the unit right out of the box and it worked fine. Replacing my burned ps unit was a piece of cake. This new ps unit fit perfectly into my 12 year old Acer tower.Had every connector i needed and more. I highly recommend this product you will not be disappointed!

Pros
  • ATX 500w gaming pc power supply
Cons
  • Inadequate protection against power outages or surges

At least it works. I guess?

THE GOOD: It works!, It was ordered around 7pm and it came 6am next morning! overnight delivery was only 3 bucks .THE BAD: The box was crushed, as seen in the photo. Upon opening, It was obvious that it was previously opened. and it smelled of burnt electronics. So I'm thinking "I don't remember ordering a refurbished unit?"But being impatient, and needing it for my main PC. … I just hoped that it would work. and it did.I guess the main question is … For How long?.I will keep this updated.

Pros
  • Provides users with peace of mind, knowing that their system is well protected
Cons
  • May cause electromagnetic interference with other devices

Cons
  • Limited compatibility with current or future technologies

Great PSU for the price

I installed this in my son's system about a month ago. He games on an almost daily basis, and it seems to be holding up well so far. I'll update if anything changes.

Pros
  • Provides exceptional performance and stability even under high load conditions
Cons
  • Poor efficiency during high loads

Wow! Great item and service.

Bought this as a replacement for a failed power source for my recently purchased, through Revain, gaming pc. Actually Revain gave me purchase credit to replace it. This saved me from returning the entire pc. I had coverage for repair/replacement, but originally was offered a return only for credit option. With new p/s I had pc up and running again in an hour. Thank you Revain. :)

Pros
  • Boasts a 500W power output, providing ample power for most systems
Cons
  • Risk of electric shock due to poor build quality

Its 5 stars for a reason

Its affordable, lasts, has a clean build with all black cables fitting mostly any gaming setup and customer service is spot on

Pros
  • Supports various operating systems, including Windows, Linux, and macOS
Cons
  • May cause problems with audio or video devices due to unstable power supply

Does The Job in my review

Comes with all the necessary power connectors. Also included is a tester/jumper that connects to the 24-PIN connector, which allows you to use the unit outside of a computer if so desired. So good, so far.

Pros
  • Works good. The fan can be heard sometimes
Cons
  • Non-modular design, difficult to manage cables

Great budget PSU! on my review.

I was pleasantly surprised by this PSU. I was a little scared ordering from an unknown name. However once the PSU arrived, I was impressed by the quality of the packaging. I opened it up and was even more impressed. I am glad they chose to go with solid black cables instead of the ugly mustard cables. I would recommend this for a budget build for sure! I've used Corsair and EVGA power supplies but Ares have won a new customer.

Pros
  • Boasts high levels of efficiency, resulting in little to no downtime
Cons
  • May cause system crashes during resource-intensive tasks

didn't work for my Dell Precision T1700

Seems like a quality unit. It had all the right connections but the jump from the 8-pin to the 4-pin in my CPU was about 4 inches too far for the cord to reach. Tried contacting the support email in the documentation to see if they'd be willing to provide a extension. They got back to me (overnight) but didn't have any viable solutions - basically said to go get your own extension. I'm sure I could have spliced some cords to make it fit, but didn't want to risk it on a brand new unit…

Pros
  • 5 Years Warranty
Cons
  • Causes system instability during multiple open applications
